Mt. Nelson Label 2010 Mount Nelson Sauvignon Blanc

Light-bodied, but still packs a wallop both in flavor and crisp acidity. Green apple, lemon, lime and gooseberry flavors are intense, focused and very refreshing. Drink now.

Regular Price: $17.99  Sale Price: $14.99

Light yellow with pale gold glimmers. Very pretty on the nose, opening up with vanilla and white flower scents (linden tree). Bold and balanced on the palate, full and round; the finish is long-lasting with a slightly vanilla touch.

Rhone 2009 Perrin Cotes du Rhone Villages Vinsobres Les Cornuds

A blend of equal parts Grenache and Syrah, the 2009 Perrin et Fils Cotes du Rhone Villages Vinsobres Les Cornuds reveals abundant aromas of crushed rocks, spring flowers and blue as well as black fruits in its darker, more cool climate style. It is completely different from the Grenache-dominated wines from the warmer climates of Cairanne, Rasteau, Vacqueyras or Gigondas. The impressive, deep, rich Vinsobres Les Cornuds comes from high elevation (400 feet) vineyards, and should easily age for 10 years.

Rhone 2009 Tardieu-Laurent Les Becs Fins, Côtes-du-Rhône Villages

A wine that is also already in bottle and a terrific bargain is the 2009 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Les Becs Fins. Aged totally in tank, this blend is dominated by Grenache, with some Syrah, Cinsault, and Mourvedre. A relatively large cuvee by Michel Tardieu's standards, it exhibits super-deep black raspberry and blackberry fruit intermixed with licorice, lavender, and a hint of Provencal herbs. Round, corpulent, generous, and full-bodied, it is a dazzling effort for this price point
