Roar and DuMol Wines
2010 Roar Pinot Noir Gary's Vineyard

Our 2010 Garys' Vineyard Pinot Noir's deep ruby color is reflected in the complex nose of licorice, black raspberries and dark fruits. The powerful palate of plums, currants and toasty oak gives way to tight finish that opens with air.

Regular Price $59.99
2010 Roar Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands

Our 2010 Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir is dark ruby in color with a bright nose of blackberries, blueberries, black cherries, and cinnamon. The full-bodied palate shows abundant ripe fruit and nice toast notes buoyed by cool climate activity.

Regular Price $49.99
Sale Price $39.99

2010 Roar Chardonnay Sierra Mar Vineyard

Our 2010 Sierra mar Vineyard Chardonnay is a lovely medium straw color with aromas of green apple, peach, and pretty floral notes. The rich palate of lychee, pear and butterscotch flavors leads to very good acidity on the finish.

Regular Price $54.99
2009 DuMol Syrah Eddie's Patch

The 2009 Syrah Eddie's Patch Hoppe-Kelly Vineyard bursts onto the palate with an exciting array of dark red cherries, rose petals, spices, leather and licorice. The use of 33% whole clusters gives the wine a high-toned register in the bouquet that is especially appealing. Sweet, silky tannins frame the exceptional finish in this pliant, highly expressive Syrah. This is a fabulous showing. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024.

Regular Price $99.99
Sale Price $89.99

2010 DuMol Syrah Jack Robert's Run

The 2009 Syrah Jack Robert's Run Gregori Vineyard is a gorgeous wine layered with blackberries, tar, graphite, incense, camphor and game. In 2009 winemaker Andy Smith waited out the rain and harvested in late October. He was rewarded with a huge, opulent wine that possesses stunning richness and intensity yet is not at all heavy. A mineral-drenched finish adds the last layer of complexity. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024.

Regular Price $92.99
Sale Price $74.99

2010 DuMol Pinot Noir Aidan

The 2009 Pinot Noir Aidan Wildrose Vineyard is layered with sweet rose petals, new leather, licorice, sweet herbs and dark raspberries. It shows tremendous richness, power and grace in a refined style that is highly appealing. Floral notes reappear to frame the close. This is a slightly brighter wine then the Eoin. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2021.

Regular Price $99.99
Sale Price $89.99

2010 DuMol Pinot Noir Ryan

The 2009 Pinot Noir Ryan is another very pretty and complete wine. Freshly cut flowers, red berries, spices and licorice are some of the many notes that take shape in the glass. Underlying veins of minerality support the fruit and give the wine much of its energy. I don't find the same level of complexity or interest here as I do with the best wines in this lineup, but in exchange, the Ryan will be ready to drink pretty much right out of the gate. The vineyard sources are Widdoes and Abbott. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2021.

Wide World of Wines Presents:

The wines of Brewer Clifton & Diatom

With Greg Brewer

Tuesday, March 20th at Vidalia at 6:30 PM

Join us for a four course dinner prepared by chef de cuisine Hamilton Jonson

$130 per person all inclusive

The wines

Diatom Miya Chardonnay 2010- Very noble and ethereal aromatics ranging from citrus skin to a fresh, humid brie rind followed by very pure flavors of lime, agave and salt crystals. Tremendous drive and grip in the mouth.

Brew Clifton Mt. Carmel Chard 2009- Fresh hay, raw honeycomb and lemongrass aromatics followed by flavors of ruby grapefruit, poppy seed and stone fruit. Very oily and unctuous in the mouth with hauntingly deceptive power and delineation.

Brewer Clifton Gnesa Chard 2009- Aromas of lime leaf, spearmint and nectarine followed by flavors of lemon curd, apricot and cardamom. Very taut and drying in the mouth which has come to be a very singular marking of this very particular site.

Brewer Clifton Sta. Rita Pinot Noir 2009- Dark plum, anise, and Pu-erh tea aromatics set the stage for the flavors of dried cherries, dried wild mushroom and baker's cocoa flavors that follow. Tender and cohesive in the mouth with a very firm and savory palate impression and finish.

Brewer Clifton Mt. Carmel Pinot Noir 2009- Aromas of Italian plum, fresh clove and Darjeeling tea yield to earthy flavors punctuated by blackberry, fresh fig and balsamic. Extremely spherical mouthfeel with the most intensity, elegance and drive.

Brewer Clifton 3D Pinot Noir 2009- Strikingly pure aromatics of dried strawberry, orange zest and soy followed by flavors of pomegranate, pink peppercorn and red plum. Very taut and firm mouthfeel with tremendous grip and lingering finish.

Brewer Clifton Amplos Pinot Noir 2009- Dried cherry, clove and orange-black tea aromatics usher in flavors of cranberry, pomegranate and white pepper. Very firm front mouth impression with strong persistence through the mid palate

The menu is in the works.

RSVP as soon as possible

Very limited seating available
